Ming-Ming Decorative Egg
WONDER PETS!Real feathers, available at craft-supply stores, make this duckling delightfully fuzzy.
· Step 1: For the body: Kids glue feathers to the sides and back of the egg, trimming them with scissors as needed.
· Step 2: For the hat: As the glue dries, use the Ming-Ming egg template to cut out the hat and two hat straps from the brown felt. From the white felt, cut two circles for goggles. Set aside. Glue the straps and goggles to the crescent-shaped hat, as shown. Glue the hat onto the duck’s head.
· Step 3: For the feet: Using the template, cut two legs from the yellow felt. Glue the legs to the base of the egg.
· Step 4: For the face: When the feathers on the egg have dried, use a black marker to draw the eyes. Mold the modeling clay into a triangle-shaped piece for the beak. Press it onto the duck’s face.
· Step 5: Place it in the “nest”: Set the duck on the jar lid.
