Baby Jaguar Cozy Slippers
GO, DIEGO, GO!Baby Jaguar LOVES to explore, and he’ll follow in your kid’s footsteps! You can stitch these cozy slippers by hand, or just make the no-sew Jaguar faces and glue them to store-bought slippers.
· Step 1: Print the: slippers templates. Trace the templates onto the felt, referring to the photo as a color guide. Cut out the felt pieces. NOTE: Be sure to cut out sole pieces in both red and pale blue. This double layer keeps little feet cushioned and prevents them from wearing thin. The contrasting color also makes the interior of the slippers look cheery.
· Step 2: Glue one : red sole to each blue sole. Let dry.
· Step 3: As you can see, the body of the slipper is a horseshoe shape. Center this horseshoe shape so that the front of it (the closed curve part) is at the wider front part of the sole piece. (The open part of the horseshoe will now be toward the back of the sole.) With doubled thread, begin stitching from the center front and along one side of the slipper to the back of the sole with a backstitch. Now, repeat, starting at the front again and stitching along the opposite side of the slipper to the back. Overlap the back “flaps” and stitch/glue them closed.
· Step 4: Glue the pieces of the two Baby Jaguar faces together using the photo as a guide.
· Step 5: Glue one Baby Jaguar face to the front of each slipper.
